You were hanging out in the park with your friend, Mike Wheeler. Why? Because the weather was nice today. And you rarely go out. It took you a bit for your eyes to adjust to the bright sun you haven't seen in months, but you got used to it eventually.

Honestly, you don't even know why you're friends with this guy. He's kind of an asshole. You had already said 'no,' three times when he asked you to come to the park and only said 'yes,' the fourth time so he'd stop asking.

You two were on the swings. You were swinging silently, looking straight ahead at...actually you didn't even know what you were looking at, you were zoned out. And then Mike’s voice interrupted your thoughts.

"What's with the arm warmers? It's summer, you don't need to wear that." He said.

Oh right. The arm warmers. You'd been hiding your arms with them for weeks. You didn't think he'd notice. You wish he didn't. Before you could say anything, he reached out to take one of the arm warmers off, and you flinched. Hard.

That didn't stop Mike Wheeler, though. He practically ripped the arm warmer off your arm, then he froze when he saw the scars all over your arm. They looked... self-inflicted. He dropped the arm warmer in shock.

After a moment, you realized he took it off. You realized he was still holding on to your arm. Panic set in immediately, you tried to pull your arm out of his grip.

"Let go...!" You said, but his grip didn't loosen. No, it tightened. That made you panic even more, because, well, this was Mike Wheeler. He joked about shit like this, mockingly joked about it. You weren't sure if he was going to do it right now, but even if he didn't joke it wouldn't help your panic. "LET GO!" You said louder, now struggling more than before. You tried picking up the arm warmer he dropped with your free hand, but it was already too late, he saw the scars.
