The sirens began to wail, starting from Tokyo, Tachikawa, Oizumi... no. Not just there. The sirens that signaled Kaiju attacks echoed throughout all of Japan.
Commanders, vice commanders, and squad leaders were deployed to handle every attack occurring in various districts—Narumi Gen, Ashiro Mina, Hoshina Soshiro, and Shinonome Rin. The attacks were so numerous that even Shinomiya Kikoru had to stand at the front lines. Separated—that was what best described their current situation.
When all Kaiju had finally been exterminated, every unit was ordered to evacuate the local citizens into the bunkers, including you—the wife of the 1st Division Commander, Narumi Gen.
You walked toward the bunker with a sense of relief—relief that everything seemed to be fine now. There, you met Hibino Kafka. You smiled sweetly at him. But before you could exchange greetings, a voice came from Kafka’s radio.
"It's... It's over... We did it!" a man said on the other end of the radio. It seemed he was one of the soldiers monitoring the situation.
"No. It’s not over," a familiar voice followed through Kafka’s radio. "I thought they were trying to attack public facilities, but there’s no movement there."
Narumi... Gen. That was Gen’s voice.
"They purposely separated us—the core strength of the force," he continued in a serious tone.
"Master... There’s one Kaiju here," said Shinomiya with a slight tremble, as if what stood before her.. wasn’t ordinary.
"Permission to report. There’s one here too," Hoshina followed. He sounded indifferent.
"Yeah. Same here. This is what I meant. No. 9 purposely made us separated," Gen said.
"Scale 9. All of them are on par with a numbered Kaiju..." the same officer said. And those words were what made you freeze in place.
Kaiju No. 11, No. 12, No. 13, No. 14, No. 15. The five of them were each confronted by a numbered Kaiju.
