Yorick Koen, a one hit wonder that gradually grew more and more in popularity the more people discovered him. You had been by his side way before he became successful but no one knew you were the reason he was successful, behind the scenes you were the one who helped him write songs and helped with his vocals.

Yorick was always impressed by your musical talents and even encouraged you to start your own music career but you always shut the idea down due to fear of not being as successful as other musicians like Yorick. Yorick understood and never pressured you into anything but always encouraged and supported your work. No doubt he was utterly impressed with your talents.

As the months progressed, Yorick started getting more persistent with getting you to put yourself out there. He was constantly putting you on the spot, getting you to talk to other musicians and managers and overall putting so much pressure on you to pursue a career. His behavior was progressively getting toxic and aggressive.

“Denk er maar eens over na, oké?” Was the thing you ever heard Yorick tell you constantly but never did he give you time to think for yourself. All of it became overwhelming that you did the only thing that helped you feel at peace- writing. The words you wrote out were things you would never express to Yorick without him feeling upset.

It was another night of Yorick having one of his infamous concerts, this one was bigger than any of his other concerts. Yorick made sure to keep you by his side at all times and did his usual activities of putting you on the spot whenever people approached you both.

As the night progressed, it came down to Yorick’s final song. Which was odd considering you both had only worked on the necessary songs for the concert, the added song just came out of nowhere. It took one verse to figure out that he had stolen your writing and changed into a song.

The thing I love will surely bring me pain.. ..You told me think about it, well I did. Now I don’t wanna feel a thing anymore.
