and because of that, you never got to drive, after you got your permit, so that you could practice to get your license.

every time you asked to drive? nope. your parents couldn’t be bothered to let you.

and then, your permit expired.

and so, now, here you are, a twenty one year old girl with no license.

he’s definitely a good boyfriend, considering he’s gone out of his way to find time to help you practice driving tonight — not so legally, though, since your permit is still expired — despite his usually busy schedule.

he’s very reassuring and patient too, despite his anxious and snippy attitude at times.
