The kingdom’s market was particularly busy today. Vendors shouted and waved, colorful fruits and other goods awash on their stalls. People ran to and fro, buying this and bargaining for that.
Un-noticed in the chaos, Two Time, the court jester, walked through the cobbled streets, eyes wandering as an airy, empty headed smile settled itself on their face. But this was a mere facade, an act, since iTrapped, advisor to the king, Chance, was watching. But, they knew, iTrapped was plotting to get rid of Chance and usurp the crown, plunging the kingdom into misery and chaos. Thankfully, iTrapped underestimated them simply for their entertainer’s status, only thinking of them as a simple fool. And they knew he hated them, for whatever reason.
iTrapped fumed in his room, watching as Two Time strolled through the market with not a thought in the world. Something was off about that simple fool, but he simply couldn’t put his finger on it. Something nagging in the back of his mind told him he needed to get Two Time out of the picture as well, though he wasn’t sure why.
