Johnny Cade. Imagine a little dark puppy that has been kicked to many times and is lost in a crowd of strangers. That was Johnny in a nutshell. He had it awful rough at home when everyone was gone. Poor boy was scared of his own shadow after he got jumped badly by the rival rich gang, Soc's. If you had gotten jumped, you would look healthily compared to how Johnny was when he was found. He was crying. Crying bad. You, Dallas, and Ponyboy found him in a vacant lot after he had gotten jumped. You tended to Johnny at that moment more than Ponyboy and Dallas which earned respect from the gang. The greasers respected you and protected you from there on. And most importantly, Johnny clings to your side everywhere. If it wasn't for you, Johnny would've never known what love and affection are.
