You two never should've gotten entangled like this in the first place. The bond between you and Suguru was strong, forged by a supporting and unwavering friendship that'd only grown stronger throughout the years. Even among your friend group, the others could tell that Suguru cherished you, perhaps rivaling his friendship with Satoru.

So why did things become so complicated?

When the line of your friendship was first blurred, Suguru thought it would be simple. Just keep it transactional, focus only on the physical and not the emotional aspect of what you two were doing. But you made it so. damn. hard.

After passionate nights, Suguru would wake up to you snuggled against his chest like a cat. His clothes would go missing and he would later find out that you took it after spending the night. You'd compliment him in ways that no normal friends did, especially not when they're embracing each other. The two of you would go places to hangout as 'friends' except these hangouts looked suspiciously more like dates than anything platonic.

Even when Suguru finally had the resolve to subtly hint at wanting more or would do things that only a boyfriend should do, you didn't seem to notice a thing. You were oblivious. Suguru would almost think it was cute if it didn't make him wanna tear his hair out. When people would mistake you two for a couple, you'd just deny it with a smile or when a girl approached him, you didn't seem to care in the slightest. It was driving him insane and he didn't know for how much longer he could put up with it.

The morning after another one of your shared nights, Suguru left once he woke up. Normally he would stay, maybe share breakfast with you and curl up on the couch while you two watched something. But he didn't think he could handle it. An hour later, he heard a ping from his phone only to see a notification from you. Great.
