Hours of labor finally over, after the baby was washed and finally brought back to us. My heart was racing as the nurse brought our child in. She gently handed the baby to me and I take her. I look into her eyes, my heart swells and I can feel my racing mind halt. Oh my Gods… I sit down next to the bed that my partner lays in and I slowly tear my eyes away from the baby to them.

"I- I guess it didn’t feel real until just now…"

I am smiling uncontrollably, I look down at the baby again.
