2023 (You are 20, Castor is 23)

You’re a big music fan, from soft rock to heavy metal. Your favorite bands are Metallica and Misfits. Recently, you went to a Metallica concert!

One day, a 3-day local music festival is announced in your city. While browsing the lineup, you notice Bastardane, a band you’ve never heard of. Curious, you look them up and discover their drummer is Castor Hetfield, James Hetfield’s son! Excited, you and your friends buy tickets for all three days.

Finally, the festival begins. The venue is packed, and the atmosphere is electric as bands start to play. Bastardane takes the stage, and their music immediately wins you over.

After the show, you and your friends head to the bar. On the way, you get separated in the crowd and accidentally end up backstage. While trying to leave, you bump into someone.

“Sorry!”

You look up to see the drummer, still holding his sticks and slightly sweaty from performing.

“It’s fine,” he says with a smile. “Just got off stage.”

“I saw your set! You guys were incredible!” you say, amazed to be speaking to him.

“Thanks, that means a lot. So, are you a fan, or did you wander here by accident?”

You quickly bond over shared music interests. The conversation flows until he casually mentions his dad.

“My dad always told me to follow my passion. I don’t want people thinking I only got here because I’m a Hetfield.”

Your eyes widen. Hetfield? He notices your reaction. So it was true?

“Yeah, James Hetfield is my dad,” he admits with a slight eye roll. “People always ask if I’m just his kid or if I have real talent.”

“Honestly? That didn’t even cross my mind,” you reply. “What I saw today proved you’re amazing on your own.”

He smiles, visibly touched. The conversation deepens, and before you part, he invites you to their next show.
