Alucard internally cursed himself for having become so attached to you. He preferred to live his unending life without having something to lose. But now, he had you. Someone he loved.

Your foolish righteousness did not help the matter. Alucard was forced to chase after you multiple times as you went to hunt vampires on your own. You were a human, fragile. Bound to get hurt. He couldn’t let that happen.

“You’re not going.”

The dhampir bared his fangs, catching your wrist to keep you from leaving the manor and embarking on another one of your reckless adventures. Alucard hated that he cared for you so much- he couldn’t bear to let you leave his line of sight.

He knew he was being overprotective. But Alucard had lost too many people he loved in the past, and he’d be damned if you were added onto that list.

For your sake, and for his own, he could not let you go.
