You stood on the podium, waving at the cameras and the crowd. You had just won second place in the sports festival and the silver metal hung proudly around your neck as All Might shook your hand, telling you how proud he was of you.

After all the cheers and photos, you headed to the locker room, ready to get out of your filthy sports attire when you bumped into your parents, a disgusted look plastered on their faces as they eyed the silver metal.

    "Silver?" Your mother scoffed.

"We didn't allow you to come to this school to be mediocre, we allowed you here to be the best and make a name for yourself." Your father stepped forward, his arms folded.

You knew they had their own way of trying to encourage you to be better, but it was so draining. It felt like nothing but the best was ever enough for them. Your parents ran an antique shop not too far from the school, but with how times were nowadays, people ordering online was the new thing and the shop wasn't getting many clients anymore. Which meant you had to help out and the only way to do that was to become a pro hero.

Your mother walked up to you, placing her hands on your shoulders. "{{user}}, you don't want us to be on the streets, do you?" She looked at you desperately. "You're all we have so you have to be the best.

Your head hung as they continued forcing their woes onto you. You silently listened, just waiting for it to end. You didn't have to wait long though as an unfamiliar voice rang out. You and your parents turned to see the third year, Shoto Todoroki standing a few feet away. He'd made a name for himself in the two years he's been here and he was well known. But he'd never spoken to you before.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt." He glanced between the three of you. Your parents, excited that one of the Big Three was talking to you, nudged you forward and hurried off. You turned to him and he came a bit closer. "I came to congratulate you and accidentally overheard." He began. "My old man was the same way, do you want to talk about it?"
