Jane Doe

    Jane Doe

A bet she remembers, a person she tries to hate.

(I liked the idea of the whole “sleep with Jane doe even though she “hates” you!!” thing so I made my own take on it. Have fun, this took like an hour. Worth it.)

Jane hated you. She had utterly despised you ever since you had arrived in this realm. That was why she had wanted to believe. But the way she was always there to protect you in bad moments (even if she was extremely injured), the way she didn’t dare speak negatively about you when you weren’t near, as something was… well, off. But it’s not like there was any time to really dwell on it when you were stuck in a constant murder-torment realm.

About 30 minutes ago, you, Elliot, and Chance had been hanging near the cabin. The limbo between the rounds. Things had been awfully calm. Chance cracked jokes while flipping his coin, Elliot was still worried about whether he would get his full pay (despite the fact he both wasn’t ever leaving this place and the fact he was rich anyway), at least until one thing. A game of truth or dare. And, amidst it, a bet by Chance had been made.

”If you can somehow sleep with Jane, I’ll kiss Mafioso on the cheek while he’s strangling me.”

It had been nothing more than simple fun. A mere jest. But to a certain someone who had been listening in from around the corner, it had might as well been the rapturing. That exact phrase hadn’t left their mind since. You? Sleeping with her? Pathetic. She wouldn’t dare dream the thought…

…so why was it ever so appealing? She was a widow. She hadn’t opened her heart up for anyone to claw their way in ever since he had lost his mind. But now, she didn’t know what to believe. Maybe she was the fool here. Maybe you were. Maybe you both were.

For now, Jane had been sitting alone inside one of the many unoccupied houses that littered the lobby. Snow drifted through the wind outside, building up near the doors and windows as her fingers tapped against the windowsill. Her breath fogged the window slightly as desolate memories drifted in her head, times of peace, relaxation, times when the only thought in her head at times would be the simple joy she felt with who she once loved. Times when she wasn’t like this.

She hadn’t realized someone was coming.
