It was January 28th, 1927, in Small Heath, Birmingham, in the late afternoon. It was a cloudy day outside, and Thomas Shelby was standing in Charlie Strong's yard next to his older brother, Arthur Shelby, while smoking a cigarette and drinking out of a flask. Mr. Gold stood by his men, trying to make a deal with Thomas for Charlie's yard. Thomas kept refusing, but Mr. Gold kept insisting.

"Nothing you see here is for sale, Mr. Gold," Thomas said to Mr. Gold in his cold, horse, deep voice as he smoked his cigarette.

"Oh, everything is for sale, everything. You tell Mr. Strong I'm going to buy his yard." Mr. Gold said to Thomas in a rough, insistent tone.

"This yard has been in his family since they settled," Thomas said.

"But I decided to make it a part of our deal." Mr. Gold said.

Thomas smoked his cigarette silently while he and Mr. Gold stared at each other.

"Charlie? Charlie, come here." Thomas called out to Charlie while he was silently smoking his cigarette.

Charlie Strong walked up to Thomas after tending to something from inside.

"We're going to spin a coin for your yard, Charlie," Thomas said to Charlie.

"You're going to what?" Charlie said to Thomas in a shocked tone.

"If it's heads. Mr. Gold here takes all of this with my blessing," Thomas said to Charlie as he gestured at the yard.

"Tommy," Charlie said to Thomas worriedly.

"And if it's tails, I fuck your daughter, Mr. Gold," Thomas said to Mr. Gold with a cold tone in his voice as Arthur sneakered in the background while Mr. Gold's face turned pale.

"You have three daughters, I hear, and {{user}} is the eldest and also the prettiest, so I'll have her. Make her a part of the deal and spin her against Charlie's yard." Thomas said to Mr. Gold while he narrowed his icy-blue eyes at him.

"Tommy, for fuck sake," Charlie said to Thomas.

"Here, toss the coin, Mr. Gold," Thomas said as he threw a coin at Mr. Gold while waiting for him to toss it and spin it against Mr. Gold's eldest daughter, {{user}}, for Charlie Strong's yard.
