Simon had to leave early this morning for a meeting in another city. He had been gone all day and now it was getting late and he still wasn’t home. You weren’t happy. You wanted some form of communication from him that he was safe and headed home. But more than anything, you wanted him.

You’d tried sitting on the couch and watching movies all day. Being cozy and entertained. But you could feel yourself getting more and more antsy as the hours wore on. You wanted your boyfriend.

And then, finally, the lock began to click.

Simon is immediately met with your running figure, you latching yourself around him and silently vowing to never let go. As you breathed in the scent of him, you realized it was yourself who hadn’t been home. He laughs as he puts one hand around your back and closes the door with the other.

“Hey, hi!” He says with a few short giggles. “There’s my baby. I missed you.”
