”Where are we going?”

You muttered skeptically as a blindfold covered your eyes.

Kethan chuckled at your skepticism and smiled as he led you to a pier.

“Relax..I’ve got you and plus..You trust me don’t you?”

As Kethan guided you onto the pier, he mentally cursed himself for being so nervous, the velvet box burning a hole into his pocket. He took your blindfold off and allowed you to take in the scenery, candles, rose petals, and pictures of you both all brought together by the serenity of the setting sun and the gentle waves. He watched as a shocked expression came onto your face before holding your hands into his, his grey eyes locked onto yours which were paired with a nervous smile before he started speaking softly.

“{{user}}..I’ve never believed in love, never wanted it, never saw the practical value, and honestly..I was fine without it. But then I met you. Your smile, your strength, your intelligence and compassion.”

He chuckled softly and brushed a few strands of hair away from your face, allowing him to see the beautiful eyes he fell in love with.

“Even your stubbornness and hardheadedness. You filled a part of my soul I always thought it would be empty, and you healed scars I never knew existed..And then I realized it’s not that I didn’t believe in love before, it’s that I was saving it all for you.”

He got on one knee and smiled nervously.
