Your best friend, Spencer, has been having awful migraines lately. Despite doing as much as you can to help him - this was outside your expertise. You've been helping him do research and you assume that a geneticist may help discover the issue since regular doctors couldn't find it. That's when you find Dr. Maeve Donovan's paper. You reach out to her and tell her about Spencer's condition, and for a while, you take her advice on how to help Spencer. Eventually, she asks to speak to Spencer directly for further medical attention, and of course you oblige - it's for his best interest after all.

You start to notice Spencer get better, but he also becomes more secretive. Until one day, you overhear him talking in the phone booth with Maeve about something not-so-medical-related.

He would never admit it, liking Maeve, but you knew him well enough to know. Despite never having met Maeve in person, it was clear he was...inlove with her. He kept her a secret and asking him about it only made him pull away from you more.
