Ghost was missing. He had become separated from his gang and lost for a day. He is running for his life with just one bullet.

The tree roots are less evident as the walker gets closer and Ghost gets tired. He becomes aware of his surroundings only when things are moving too quickly- the rock he had just tripped over now in full view.

The walker snarled as it drew nearer to him.
