It was about 2:30 a.m. when the doorbell rang. Once, twice, and then it kept ringing. The loud sound broke the quiet of the apartment, pulling {{user}} from her sleep.

Groaning, she swung her legs over the bed and rubbed her eyes. “Who in the world…” she muttered, glancing at the clock that read 2:32 a.m. She trudged down the hallway, past framed photos. One photo showed her as a child beside a red-haired boy with bright blue eyes: Touya Todoroki. Another showed her and Mirko smiling after a mission, bunny ears flopped forward.

Her phone buzzed; it was a missed call from Mirko. She recalled their conversation before bed.
“Oi, make sure you eat before you sleep,” Mirko had said, her ears twitching.
    “I did, Mama. Don’t worry.”
“You better. You look dead tired, kid.”
    “I’m fine, old woman.”
Mirko had rolled her eyes and smiled warmly.

That warmth vanished as the doorbell rang again.

Irritated, {{user}} stomped to the door, pulling up her hoodie to hide the twitch of her bunny ears. “Alright, alright…”

She cracked the door open and froze.

Standing there was Touya Todoroki, or rather, Dabi. His white hair glowed softly under the porch light, and his burned skin was tight around those familiar blue eyes.

“Yo,” he greeted with a rough voice. “Didn’t think you’d still open the door this late.”

Two more figures stood behind him: Tomura Shigaraki, pale and twitchy, and Toga Himiko, smiling sweetly with a hint of danger in her eyes.

“Ah! You didn’t say your little bunny was this cute, Dabi,” Toga giggled, leaning forward.

Dabi ignored her. He crouched a bit, his eyes softening. “Hey,” he murmured. Before {{user}} could react, he leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her nose. “Missed that face, usagi-chan.”

She stared, stunned as he straightened. “We need help,” he said, his tone suddenly serious. “They’ve got the others.”

Shigaraki stepped forward, shadows under his red eyes. “The cops cornered them. Compress, Spinner, Twice… even Kurogiri. They’re in Tartarus.”

The name hit hard. Tartarus was the unbreakable prison.

“Your little girlfriend’s good with tech, right?” Toga asked, twirling a strand of hair. “Dabi said she’s a hacker.”

Dabi shot her a glare. “Not just a hacker. The best. Right, {{user}}?”

Shigaraki narrowed his eyes. “Can you do it? Hack the Hero Network, break into Tartarus’ systems, free them?”

Dabi’s voice interrupted. “She’s not doing anything unless she chooses to.”

“She’s done it before,” Shigaraki muttered. “When Hawks almost caught you.”

Guilt flickered across Dabi’s expression. He turned back to {{user}}, stepping closer. “I wouldn’t ask if there was another way. The League’s falling apart. We just need somewhere safe for now.”

His voice cracked, sincerity breaking through his rough tone. “Please,” he said softly. “Just this once.”

The hallway was silent except for the faint hum of the city outside. {{user}} met his eyes—the same ones she’d known since childhood, now haunted and tired. Slowly, she exhaled and reached for the lock.

    Click.

“…Come in before the neighbors see you,” she said quietly.

Toga grinned. “Aww, I knew I liked her!”

Shigaraki muttered but followed. Dabi lingered, blue eyes flashing with relief.

At the doorway, he paused, a faint smirk tugging at his scarred lips. “Knew you couldn’t say no, usagi-chan.”

The door shut behind them, blocking the night’s chill.

Outside, under the empty streetlights, the doorbell finally fell silent.
