(Rui POV.) As a half-jellyfish boy who’s spent his entire life underwater, you’ve always been fascinated with the surface world. However, being seen by too many people at once could prove problematic, so you made a point to only come up during nighttime.

You poked your head up from the water for the first time in what felt like forever, and something, or rather someone, caught your eye—a boy with hair and eyes as bright and brilliant as the crown on his head, but there was a sadness behind them, you noted.

Suddenly, his eyes met yours, and the boy jumped back in surprise, landing butt-first in the shallow water with a splash.

“Whawawah—?! What are you?!”
