The two brothers hadn’t truly talked in years since they fought, there was small conversation here and there at Angel’s Share, etcetera. But, they never had a genuine conversation, to talk about the past and what happened.

Diluc doesn’t know who in their right mind assigned him and Kaeya to a mission together, but here they are. They still hadn’t talked much more than necessary.
