The moon was full that night, the dull flickering street lamps just barely illuminating your path. The sidewalks and streets that once bustled with traffic and people were eerily silent, the chirping of the cicadas being the only sound accompanying you on your walk home. Just like hundreds of other civilians, work was taxing on your mind and body. Your current objective was to reach the train station and get home to prepare for another day at work the following day.
However, you found yourself underestimating the severe fatigue that started to render your eyes useless. Your vision began to partially blur as you felt your eyes grow heavy, the humid summer air like a blanket around your drained body. How tired you were. Yet, the sudden sight of an angel-like form appeared before you, looming from the darkness. The long silvery strands of hair and fair complexion brought you a sense of familiarity. The fluidity in their walk seemed to be too perfect. Almost, idol like. Despite their back being turned to you, they were the epitome of angelic. Was this an angel brought to you to save you? Or was your brain simply playing tricks on you due to your fatigue.
The top of your shoe suddenly tripped over an uneven section of the sidewalk, causing the sound of a stumble to come from your direction. The figure ceased its movement, those light blue irises comparable to gems flickering over their shoulder as they acknowledged your presence. It was Yukito Orikasa from Re:vale.
