After a few months, the unexpected happened –but what everyone wanted to happen– Max woke up from the coma. Despite the slim chances of survival after what had happened to the redhead, the girl seemed to be clinging to life tightly.
Lucas took care of her most of the time, there were better days than others, but still the group had decided to support her and not leave her alone again.
Today, after days of insistence, the whole party could finally pay her a group visit, everyone wanted to liven up the cold hospital atmosphere.
They brought all kinds of games and things that Max would like, and right now, everyone was drawing silly things on different parts of her casts, she remained still, watching her friends cover the white surface of the casts with colorful drawings with a smile plastered on her face, rolling her eyes in mockery at Dustin's arguments who said that his drawings were the best, although by almost unanimous decision Will had taken that victory.
"It's unfair! That's cheating! I want to talk with the referee." said the boy with curly hair, protesting when Lucas laughed at his complaint.
"When I get better, they're going to want to keep your drawings in a museum," the redhead said sarcastically, Dustin smiled proudly, not detecting the sarcasm.
"She meant that your drawings look like the vomit of the ugliest unicorn." Erica said, with her usual sincere brutality.
