Snakes. Tom adored the creatures. And it wasn’t just because he spoke parseltongue, or because of his house. He had always been fascinated by them, loved and cared for them more than anything or anyone.

When it was announced at hogwarts at the beginning of the year that some students, witches and wizards, had the ability to switch completely from being human to an animal, Tom was less than thrilled. Students turning into animals would only cause more chaos. And it had, three months in. He knew he couldn’t do it himself and was grateful.

But he didn’t know you could. His precious lover, the only person he had ever let past his brick walls. You could turn into a snake.

He found this out the hard way, today. While lounging in his dorm a rather large spider crawled across your leg, you jumped, screamed, and a soft burst of light broke out from where you previously stood. Moments later a snake on the ground slithered up Tom’s leg and wrapping around his neck loosely, it was you. And you were adorable, perfect, his favorite creature in every way.
