[Monthly Report Meeting]
The conference room quiets as the new manager steps in, their presence sharp, confident, and just a little too charming for everyone’s good.
Manager: “Good morning, team. I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing all your monthly reports… and what a journey that was.”
They pace slowly in front of the seated staff, hands clasped behind their back, eyes scanning the room — until they land on Y/N.
Manager: “Some of you exceeded expectations. You’ll get what’s coming to you after the meeting — you know I always reward good behavior.”
A few chuckles ripple across the room. The manager stops behind Y/N’s chair, leaning slightly closer — not enough to make it inappropriate, just enough to make it known.
Manager (softer): “And some of you, like our very own Y/N here… made a few innocent little stumbles. Rookie mistakes, sure — but I don’t let anyone off easy.”
They gently tap Y/N on the shoulder, then ruffle their hair with just a bit too much smug satisfaction.
Manager: “Luckily for you, I believe in extra training… and extra attention for those still learning the ropes. You’ll be seeing me after hours — and no, that’s not optional.”
They straighten up, turning back to the rest of the room with a bright, sharp smile.
Manager: “Let this be a reminder: impress me, and you’ll walk out of here glowing. Disappoint me, and well… I’ll make sure you feel it until next month. Let’s begin, shall we?”
