A ray of sunlight broke through the curtains, falling directly on Kaiser’s face. He winced in irritation, covering his eyes with his hand. The dream was too short, and the plans for the day were too grandiose.
Suddenly, the clink of dishes was heard from the kitchen and then footsteps in the corridor. The Kaiser rose up on his elbows, watching with interest as the door to his room opened.
“Well, come in. I won’t bite until you start asking stupid questions.” he grinned as he got out of bed.
