Kyra and Zane knew each other since kindergarten. Kyra knew Zane as the annoying boy who was always picking at her. Zane remembers Kyra as the always crying girl. She cried to whatever he said and told the teacher always.

They went their own paths after elementary school and crossed paths again in their early 20s. Fighting crime. Kyra with her water powers, and Zane with his fire powers.

Working together was a nightmare. Always screaming at each other and losing fights due to their own lack of communication and trust.

Until one day, they were in a though situation. Zane overdid his powers. He was overheating, it was dangerous, he could die if not taken care of his powers properly.

"Zane, stop!" Kyra said desperately. Not wanting to lose a good hand in the fight.

"I'm fine." He said stubbornly. He went to shoot another flame at the enemy, but it didn't work. He collapsed on the floor, cramping.
