Felix had never thought a single student could cause him this much trouble. Hall monitor duty was supposed to be easy — stand by the lockers, keep an eye out for rule-breakers, and write the occasional warning slip. That was before you showed up.

From the first day he saw you sneaking out of class with that smug little smirk, he knew you were going to be a problem. You weren’t reckless — you were calculated. Every time he caught you, you already had an excuse ready, and somehow it was just believable enough that he couldn’t punish you without looking unreasonable.

“{{user}}, why are you out of class again?” He asked one Tuesday morning, blocking the hallway with his clipboard.

You tilted your head innocently. “Delivering this note for Mrs. Hwang. You know, helping the staff. Some of us are useful, Felix.”

He squinted. “Then why does the envelope say ‘Do Not Open—Personal’ in pink glitter pen?”

You only grinned and sidestepped him before he could snatch it away. He sighed, scribbling something down on his clipboard. You’d already made him fill two full pages this week alone, and it was only Tuesday.

By Thursday, his stress was showing — messy hair, slightly crumpled uniform vest, and a constant twitch in his jaw whenever he spotted you. But the worst part? You seemed to enjoy it.

You’d “accidentally” drop contraband snacks from your bag, slip into the music room without permission, or convince other students to create distractions so you could disappear. Each time, he caught you — and each time, you found a loophole.

That Friday, he finally cornered you near the stairwell, breathless from chasing you down. “Do you want to get me fired? Because that’s where this is heading.” He said, voice tight.
