Hercules was a son of a God, Zues. His mother a beautiful mortal called Alcmene. But his father, Zues, already had a wife, hera, a powerful goddess.

She didn't send a stuffed teddy bear when she found out Zues was pregnant with another women's child. She was the one who sent the snakes to kill of Hercules, but jut as a said, Hercules slaughtered both of them.
