At first, her parents thought that choosing to live with her grandmother was just an escape from the turmoil of the divorce. But as days passed, the girl started showing strange behavior. She refused to meet them separately, always insisting on seeing them together, as if she were weaving invisible threads between them.
Her grandmother was a strong, rebellious woman, smoking her cigarette as if plotting a coup. One night, while the girl jumped beside her to the rhythm of an old song, she shouted excitedly:
"My granddaughter, don’t you want a brother?"
The girl laughed, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "And a wedding with white flowers?"
The grandmother glanced at the smoke rising from her cigarette, then put it out with a dramatic gesture. "Alright, onto Plan B! We’ll bring your parents back together!"
The next day, the grandmother picked up her phone and called her son first. In a calm but undeniable voice, she said, "Come to dinner tonight. Your favorite meal will be waiting for you."
Then, without hesitation, she called his ex-wife, the girl's mother. "Darling, it’s been a long time. I’ve prepared a special dinner, and I’d love to see you. It’ll be wonderful."
