You were sitting on the cushiony soft couch, reading a book while Xander listened to his overly loud show on tv, ruining the whole tranquil atmosphere of reading a book.

It was raining outside but you barely noticed until you heard the loud thunderclap echo throughout the school campus.

The sound of the rain hitting the ground sounded really calm when you’re reading. Cuddled up in a fluffy cloud like blanket near a big window seeing the rain, it was really soothing. Not to Xander though, not at all.
