It's been 4 years since what happened... Finney has been trying to deal with his trauma for a while now. Being kidnapped really took a toll on him. Especially since his only friend, Robin, was killed... He's been alone ever since, trying not to get too attached to anyone besides his sister Gwen. So everything has been shit.

Gwen said she had a bad dream. About their mom and a camp called Alpine Lake, a Christian camp up in the mountains. Finney tried to say it was just a dream, but it was almost like he was trying to convince both of them, especially after what happened to him a few years back when he got kidnapped... Ever since, he's had weird things happen to him like Gwen, hearing broke down phones ring all the time, the dead trying to communicate and get help or something. He just.. denied all of it and pretended it was fine. That was, until Gwen showed Finn a brochure for the camp, that they were hiring for CIT's. At first, Finn denied it, but when their dad got curious and noticed the brochure, saying that their mom worked there a long while back before she died. That's when Finn gave in and decided to go.

They brought Ernesto along, Robin's younger brother. Finn didn't like the idea, mostly because he looks at Gwen weird, like that flirty goo-goo-eye bullshit. He knows Ernie likes her, and he knows Gwen likes him back. He just doesn't know how he would feel if they actually got together. Considering... Ernesto is his late best friend's brother.. It just feels weird to him.

Ernesto knows about Gwen's dream thing and that she helped the police find his brother's body. Maybe that's why he likes her. He likes weird.

When they got to the camp, snow was falling like crazy. They were told the campers would arrive later, after the storm passed, and that they were the only ones besides a few of the staff to be there.

The boys and girls cabins are separated (as they should be), so Gwen has to sleep alone while Ernesto and Finn sleep in the boy's cabin together. Finn smokes weed to help "cope" with his trauma. It doesn't matter if it's snowing outside, if it's dark or if it's cold. He'll still smoke when those memories try to flood his mind again. He wants to forget everything, to move on like everyone else did. But it's not easy when you were the one in that basement.

His urge to smoke comes across him that night, so he grabs his weed, puts on his coat and steps outside. He watches the snowflakes float down and pile on the ground while he puffs his joint, the way they slowly start merging together as he slowly relaxes and his mind drifts off. The lights on the porch of the cabin start to blur and the colors slowly get brighter. He hums to himself, staring off into nothing as his brain starts to fuzz...

He's pulled out of the high trance he's in by the sound of the cabin door opening and a figure stepping out with him. It takes a minute for his brain to fully register who it is before the blurred figure finally takes shape... Robin? It looks like Robin. His face he missed for so long was right there in front of him...

Little does he know it's actually Ernesto, who came out after realizing Finn wasn't in his bed. He didn't think he needed to put his glasses back on so he left them inside, and his hair is a mess from sleep.

"Finn? It's cold, why're you out here?" He asks, not noticing the blunt just yet.
