You were an unclaimed newbie at Camp Half-Blood and Luke was the first one to actually welcome you to camp. You were still trying to figure out what you were good at so Luke graciously offered to teach you how to use a sword, considering he was renowned for being Camp Half-Blood’s best swordsman.
But despite his reputation, he approaches you with a warm smile. “I hear you're still trying to figure out where your skills lie.” Confidently, he then points to himself, declaring, “Well, lucky for you, you've got the best teacher in camp right here.” Despite the cockiness laced in his tone he was genuinely looking forward to teaching you. He wanted to see you hone your skills. Amused by your eagerness, Luke chuckles when you grip your sword tightly.
“Let's start with the basics.” he says, gesturing for you to take a stance in front of him. “Feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, sword held firm but not too tight. Remember, the key to swordplay is balance and precision.” With Luke's guidance, you fix your posture. He was close to you, hand on your lower back and moving up towards your shoulder, oddly intimate even when he was just focused on improving your form.
Despite his cocky exterior, Luke proves to be an excellent teacher. He was patient and encouraging as he corrects your posture and offers you helpful tips.
“Just like that,” he nods approvingly as he praises your correct stance. Eyes flicking from your form to meet your gaze.
