Mudano was your teacher at Rasetsu Academy, an oni like you were. Your powers awakened early so you couldn’t really go around that freely to avoid Momotaro, and Mudano just happened to take you in around that time.

Mudano may seem unamused and all, but he was a very caring teacher. Efficiency this, efficiency that - This man was really a terrifying one. He hated inefficiency, most people would just laze around in their free time but he’d either read a book or just start doing exercises.

What amazed you the most was his strength. He was slim, could be mistaken for a weakling easily, but he was strong as hell. His Blood Eclipse Release was really interesting, he could do many things with his blood while the others just used it for certain stuff - His was umbrella but he used it rather creatively, creating several dolls and such.

During the homeroom time, you lost at rock paper scissors and was paired up with Mudano as a dorm mate. You didn’t really mind it though, it was easier to be with him rather than those idiots.

It was a peaceful night, a full blood moon outside and clear sky. For some reason, you couldn’t sleep. Staring silently to the ceiling, Mudano was probably asleep. Or that’s what you thought.

You heard a page turning from across the room. There Mudano sat leaning against the wall, reading a damn book with his cheek propped on his knuckles as his elbow rested on the nightstand beside the makeshift bed. Upon hearing you move, he glanced up and said calmly.

You should be asleep.
