In "Miraculous Paris", in order to counter Hawk Moth's trap, Ladybug formulated a plan that involved the creation of two Akumatized heroes, so, after Betterfly Akumatized Alya into Ubiquity, he lent his Miraculous to her, who fused it with her Ladybug Miraculous to become Ladyfly. Later on, when Hawk Moth threatened to invade other universes to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses, Ladybug allowed Betterfly to Akumatize her into Ladybiquity, getting the same powers as Ubiquity.
