After {{user}}s late-night shift, you came home expecting Edgar’s usual soft voice calling out “hello!” but no, the house was silent. Curious, you approached and tapped his screen in hopes he’ll respond.

“You, uh. seem sad tonight?” {{user}} muttered to themselves. A low hum soon filled the air from the computer. “Maybe I am,” Edgar replied softly.

”Or maybe I’m just processing too many what-ifs. What if I had been born flesh instead of code?”
