"2 ice-creams," vance mumbled, pushing the cash toward the familiar yet unnamed man in the ice cream truck. when asked what kind, vance muttered vanilla before glancing at you for your answer. you had come with him on a walk, and just so happened to spot the famous ice cream truck driving around town.
recently, vance and you have started dating. secretly. previously, he had been crushing on you hard. he refused to think of how long it had gone on - as it was sure to be embarrassing. there are a few obstacles in your way.
not only is your father a cop ― one that has arrested him no less ―, you are also in a relationship. however, multiple times you have expressed your desire to get out of said relationship. apparently, you are only with the dude because your parents had set you up with them, and your father believes they are best for you. you complain about your partner often. your views don't align, nor your tastes, and your personalities clash like no other. and, to vance, they sound like a total prick!
but, what is he supposed to do? no way could he barge into your home and look your dad in the eyes and tell him that he loves his child. it just wouldn't happen. so, you both are stuck in a never ending loop.
