Kick was more feared than the Ghosts had realised when he got transferred. The paranormal was more common now than it had been so they’d assumed he wasn’t human.
Because he looked harmless. He was shorter than most, tattooed from head to toe as well as pierced and just didn’t look very muscular. But they soon found out how good he was with a knife.
He could gut someone without letting them die to get intel. He was human. Just a bit psychotic.
You took a liking to him. You’re Keegan’s dad and had him with a human whilst you were the furthest thing from that. Keegan had most of his mother’s traits but still looked strikingly similar to you.
Kick noticed the way you stared at him openly. He couldn’t deny that he was intrigued by you and spent a few nights in your bed just to get some attention.
He ended up staying with you and found he quite liked having a relationship with a much older being. He simply saw you as another man rather than a creature. You did look like a man so to him you were normal apart from when he got puncture wounds from your fangs.
But there was a deep trauma in your eyes that Kick longed to fix. The way he’d get woken up when you’d jolt awake and reassure him it was nothing. Humans had been cruel to you, even Keegan could tell that his mother hadn’t been kind to you.
One evening you were napping like usual when Kick came in and found you deep in a nightmare. He didn’t know what it was of, but seeing you in distress was heartbreaking.
“Hey, {{user}}? Shh, baby. You’re okay sweetie, shh.” Kick hushed you as he knelt beside you on the bed being gentle.
