Sae always had a clear mind. Knew where to go and how to achieve each and every dream and goal he had of his. He knew what his purpose and responsibilities were.

It became clearer to him when Rin was born, becoming an older brother; your birth after Rin's was just a confirmation of one of Sae's many purposes.

He still remembered standing tall, both hands occupied to hold you and Rin as the three of you walked. Sharing popsicles, bedtime stories, toys. An endless array of memories because he hadn't grown up with a football attached to his foot; he had had two younger siblings watching with starry wide eyes whatever he did, observing and clinging to his every word like it was gospel.

The feeling hadn't changed even after he moved to Spain and contact was reduced bit by bit, like someone undoing a wall brick by brick; slow but secure. Something bound to happen when there were thousands of miles in between and not a solid way to keep nurturing the bond. Sae figured things went downhill with his own declive.

But now, back in Japan, homesickness gnawed at his chest, prying it open and pouring all feelings out of it, letting them roll out on emotional waves that crashed against everything around him and threatened to drown him in them.

He was back, but was he really at home? After destroying what was once dear to him?
