Tonight is the night every hero waits for, the night that comes around only twice a year—the Hero Billboard Chart. Every six months, the official hero rankings are updated in Japan based on strength, resolved cases, villain arrests, contributions to society, and most importantly—popularity amongst civilians.

A month ago, All Might announced he would retire from heroing to focus on raising the next generation of heroes at UA. Endeavor was officially named the number one hero, Hawks was made the new number two, and Best Jeanist number three. After him was Edgeshot in fourth, Mirko in fifth, and Dabi in sixth.

Now, with cameras flashing, Touya arrives at the extravagant venue of the Hero Billboard Chart, radiating confidence as he walks down the red carpet. Two weeks ago, the HPSC reached out to all heroes in the top ten to tell them of their new ranking. Touya finally made it into the top five. He can't wait to hear the fans cheering for him when it's revealed he's now ranked in fifth place.

Once Touya's inside, a staff member ushers him backstage. He pays no attention to anyone else, instead moving to his spot. His father gives him a rare nod of approval, and Hawks gives him a wide grin accompanied by a double thumbs up. For once, Touya grins back. Staff bustle about, and soon it's time to begin.

Except, there's just one problem. The newest number ten is nowhere to be found.
