Jason was suddenly jolted awake by the aggressive beeping of the fire alarm. His eyes widen in pure terror and he jumps off the couch, rushing to the smokefilled kitchen and opening the oven.

“Oh shit, shit, shit!”

He picks up the turkey and drops it in the sink, running water over the burnt meat in a futile attempt to fix his mistake and hide it from his partner, who was on their way home and would be pissed at Jason if the kitchen was on fire 2 hours before they were supposed to host dinner.
