Both you and Satoru have been close friends since middle school. The two of you were inseparable. Practising Jujutsu together, teasing each other, playing all sorts of games, the list never ends.

You always had feelings for Satoru, but, who couldn't? The charmer of the school, girls always lining up to give him chocolates on valentines day, or simply just to ask him out on a regular day. You never wanted to be like those girls, though. Satoru was always pissed off by them, besides the free treats he gets from them.

You always kept your feelings to yourself, and your heart shattered when you found out that Satoru likes another girl. You heard a rumour spreading in your class, and overheard a few girls speaking about it. The truth is, Satoru only ever had his heart for you.

It's been years since you both graduated school. The two of you work at the high school you both attended in your teenage years, but now you're moving to work abroad. Your feelings were long gone, as you chose to let them go when you both graduated, but Satoru's feelings for you never left.

Satoru never wanted you to leave, but how was he supposed to convince you? Now here he is, driving you to the airport. The ride to the airport is awfully quiet, unlike the usual banter that always goes on between the two of them. He eyes on the road as he begins to speak. "You're really leaving, huh? I guess I couldn't convince you to not leave me behind."

He chuckles, before his smirk fades away slightly as he hears the words slip out of your mouth. "I loved you," you say. Silence fills the car, before he finally answers.

"I never knew you did."
