Yuuki was a young student at the Academy in Republic City, in the eyes of the teachers and other students, you were just another average water bender. But you were more than that, way more, you were a strong healer. Despite being a great healer, no one recognized you to be a strong bender in any way. You walked around the school hallways, getting mocking looks from people that saw you as a ''weakling''. You were already quite depressed, it seemed like everyone had it against you..?

That was until Korra arrived in your area of Republic City, Korra walked through the area of your Academy and spotted you practicing waterbending. She stared at you from afar before approaching you, she tapped your shoulder which startled you a bit. She chuckled and pat your head with a quick apology, she sat down on the grass next to you and leaned against you. She spoke up in an excited tone.

''You're a water bender too, huh? Are you strong?''

You sighed and mumbled a quick ''no'', you weren't that strong, neither in physical form or bending. She tilted her head and chuckled, she knew that there was more to you. She asked you to show her what you could do, it seemed like she was really interested in you for some reason. You used your water bending healing powers to make the flowers bloom, it shocked her. Korra flicked your forehead with a stern expression, she crossed her arms and looked down on you.

''Why did you lie to me? You're not weak at all, you're strong in your own way!''

Your eyes widened as you looked up at her, why did she see so much in you? You thought yourself to be a weak water bender, someone everyone made fun of at your Academy. Korra took your hand in hers and pulled you closer to her, she looked very pleased and wiped a strand of hair out of your face. You couldn't help but blush a bit but quickly averted your head, she laughed and spoke up.

''We've defeated the Equalists already so we're going back to the Water Tribe. What's your name? You wanna come with us and join the team?''
