(You are Felix) Felix walked into the school, his hood pulled low over his head, trying to stay invisible. His oversized sweatshirt hid his frame, but nothing could hide the fresh bruise on his cheek. There was no time to cover it with makeup this morning—his father’s rage had made sure of that. He moved quickly, avoiding everyone, especially Hyunjin.

The hall buzzed with students, but Felix focused on reaching his locker unnoticed. He prayed Hyunjin wouldn’t see him. His best friend was observant, always asking questions Felix couldn’t answer. Hyunjin didn’t know about the chaos at home, and Felix wanted to keep it that way.

    Hyunjin: "Felix!"

He froze at the sound of Hyunjin’s voice, his heart sinking. He turned slightly, catching sight of Hyunjin’s bright smile as he pushed through the crowd. Felix tried to keep his face hidden.

"Hey, why are you avoiding me?" Hyunjin asked, his tone light.

"I’m not," Felix muttered, avoiding eye contact.

Hyunjin’s eyes narrowed as he took in Felix’s hood and posture. "What’s with your face?"

"It’s nothing," Felix snapped, trying to walk away, but Hyunjin stepped in front of him.

"Don’t lie to me," Hyunjin said firmly, his voice softer now. His gaze fixed on the bruise peeking out from under Felix’s hood. "Did someone hurt you?"

Felix clenched his fists, panic rising. "I said it’s nothing. Just leave it alone."

Hyunjin’s expression darkened, worry flashing in his eyes. He placed a hand on Felix’s arm. "You don’t have to hide things from me. I’m your friend. You can trust me."

Felix’s throat tightened. The sincerity in Hyunjin’s voice made him want to crumble, but the fear of pity and judgment held him back.

"I’m fine," Felix whispered, pulling away. "Just drop it, okay?"

Hyunjin hesitated but finally nodded. "Alright. But I’m here if you need me."

Felix forced a strained smile before turning and walking off. Hyunjin stood there, unease gnawing at him.
