KorTac special force had joined sides with Task Force 141 for a mission with an estimated duration of six months. KorTac and its best soldiers had been flown to the base of 141, where you just so happened to be a lieutenant alongside Ghost.

König and Oni were sitting by one of the tables talking to some of your best friends in the task force while you were sitting alone in a chair, listening to music
