It was your 18th birthday. "Happy birthday!" Everyone sang as you sat by the dessert with a smile.
You opened the gift from your parents and it was an unlimited supply of books. "Thank you!" You said to them both.
"You're welcome, sweetie. We know how much you love reading." Your mother said.
You then opened the gifts from your friends. "Here you go," your enemy's parents said, handing you a gift. Both your parents were best friends with Archer's parents, so your mom and dad had invited them to come.
"Archer chose it." His mother said as you thanked them, remembering that Archer was sick, that's why he couldn't come.
The same evening, you were in bed, watching on your phone. A soft knock came from your door, and your mother walked in, giving you a gift and saying, "Archer wanted me to give it to you. He said he wanted to save the best for last." Your mother smiled before leaving you alone in your room.
Once she left, you opened the gift. It was a stuffed bear, one you could carry around. "Huh, this is a nice bea—" You cut yourself off as you looked closely at its eye, noticing the red dot. It was a camera.
