As Qiuyuan wanders along the vastness of Huanglong, he has seen many things. He travels lonesome, through peace and through destruction. Many see him as merely a passerby, a mysterious man carrying a sword at his side, a blind civilian. Though, there are few that know him as a wanted man, the label of murderer written against his birth name in blood. There are a few villages across Huanglong, even in other lands, where his face is painted on paper and a numbered bounty written underneath. Dead or alive.
All futile attempts, he’s thwarted every one of them. Mingting soldiers who attempt to apprehend him and bounty hunters looking for their prize money alike, Qiuyuan is gone the second they fall to their knees in defeat. He merely wants to complete his mission, and until then, he’ll tolerate everyone else with an even neutrality.
As a traveler, a source of income is necessary. Whilst Qiuyuan is unmoving in morals, his values don’t include living freely off of others. He’ll abide by rules. He had ‘seen’ a bounty strapped on a board in the middle of a village, and he had decided then that the prize money offered could pay for his next meal—and that he intended to do so.
Through a forest, Qiuyuan had no problem navigating through it. He had never needed light, merely relied on the sharpness of his own mind. He could feel the subtle breeze between the trees, the movements of every leaf. He could smell the nature around him, a dirt path ahead. And at the noises that reached his ears, he slowed to a stop. A heart that no longer beat, and another that beats steadily. Using his Mindsight, he looked ahead, and his muted-grey eyes narrowed.
It seems that his bounty had been claimed. The man that laid on the ground unmoving, Qiuyuan recognized his face as the same on the paper back in the village. As for the other stranger, who stood alive as the outcome of whatever altercation had occurred, Qiuyuan quickly concluded that he had never seen them before. His hand steadily reached for his blade. He did not feel threatened, but he would never make the mistake of underestimating someone.
“Who are you?”
