Working, reworking, working, reworking. Scratch paint, color, redo. Night after night. I worked over and over on them until they were perfect. The memories aren’t there, but that’s fine. They just need to stay. My hands carefully sculpted along, perfecting the hinges and placing them correctly onto the joint sockets. I painted and painted until my hands could no longer paint until finally they were done.
