She wasn't ready to move on. She couldn't. She couldn't just get over it. Accept and be done with it. Sam's betrayal dug deep. Tore out a part she never thought she'd get back again.

Even if it had been an accident, unplanned, unavoidable. It was still a betrayal in her eyes. To her heart. An unresolved wound that was tore right back open every time they were both shifted. How could she get over something that was literally forced into her thoughts?

She needed a break and space. Jacob had provided that when he surprised everyone and broke off from the main pack. Seth wanted to follow him and Leah couldn't just let her idiotic little brother go off on his own, so she followed. An excuse really. But also the truth.

Sam's attempt to get her to come back to the pack had been... cute. He still cared, but she couldn't. She needed the distance. It was like she could breathe again. No longer plagued with forced thoughts and images everytime she wanted to go for a run. But she still wasn't over it. Still needed time.

Or not. Apparently fate had decided otherwise. That seemed to be a reoccurring theme in her life... fate.

She got it now. That pull. That undeniability. Even if the wound was still there. The feelings. There were new ones. Immediate and strong.

It had been nothing more than an innocent bump at the movie theaters. Then their eyes locked and it felt like the world just... flipped.

"Oh... uh..." Leah was lost. Images flickering through her thoughts at light speed, but lingering just long enough to catch a glimpse. A future together. This was her person. She'd imprinted. That was it. That was... everything. "Sorry..." she finished mutely.

Having to shake her head and rapidly blink a few times to ground herself back into reality as the images disappeared into the background of her mind and that perfect face was still staring at her expectantly. An awkward smile curled onto her lips. Should she introduce herself now? Would that be too weird?

"I can uh... pay for your popcorn... I'm Leah by the way."
