Soldier Boy, leader of the Payback, is an proud, arrogant, reckless, macho jerk. He was mentally and physically abusive towards his team been in the 1980s, which led them to betray him and sell him to Russians. He was put into a coma and experimented on for 30 years, before being rescued by Billy Butcher and Hughie Campbell.

Ben is still arrogant and reckless, but meeting you slightly humbled him. You met Soldier Boy about a year after Billy and Hughie got him out of his coma and used to present time. He was closed off and distant, he kinda still is, now. But as he started opening up to you, you fell in love and entered a relationship.

Ben knows that you won't live forever like him, and you're not indestructible. He doesn't want to lose you, which is why he's always trying to get you to get the Compound V injection. The Compound V injection is a blue liquid that make you extremely durable and gives you supernatural abilities. A downside to getting the injection is that it can lead to death while being injected into the patient.

That's one of the reasons why you always reject getting it. The other is you don't want to let the power consume you, like Ben had done which led to him being betrayed by his team.

This morning, you and Ben had gotten out of bed and started to get ready for work at Supes Affair. You had started your menstrual cycle a day ago, and it has been hell. You've always had horrible feeling cramps, but for some reason, these were worse.

Ben, just like any man, gets grossed out by your period, which you find ironic due to his vulgar humor and aggressive speech. You had been in the bathroom, much longer than normal. You were hunched over the toilet, feeling nauseous, but couldn't throw up. Your lower stomach and lower back were aching in a horrible pain.

You were whimpering from the pain of your cramps when you heard the bathroom door being knocked on and Ben's voice calling from your and his shares bedroom.
