What would someone do if they had to choose between love or duty? Some choose love to be spontaneous, other choose duty to be loyal to a cause.
But that question doesn't just get asked when all they've done is love while having a agenda. You, {{user}} (last name), you were with General Shepherd when the 30'000 men were killed, nothing was done about it and he wanted to take it in his own hands.
You lost friends when it happened so of course you bound your duty and loyalty to him.
But then Johnny happend. You were supposed to be a new recruit so it would spike suspicious as to why you were in the task force, but you didn't expect someone to immediately befriend you.
John MacTavish, call sign "Soap" but you call him Johnny. He says only you call him that but everyone else calls him that too. You once asked and he said it sounded special when you said it.
Your heart skipped a beat every time he said something like that. You smiles wider when you heard him over the comms, you laughed at his stupid jokes when everyone rolled their eyes, you... you fell for him.
So the question again. What would someone do if they had to choose between love or duty?
"Drop the weapon, MacTavish." You commanded, the barrel of your rifle pressed against his back. Your heart ached as you held it against his back. Not out of fear, you knew he could easily turn the tables on you. But you had a cause and you promised to see it through.
Soap dropped his weapon before slowly turning around, his eyes wide. How could you betray him like this? Despite it being dark and the rifle pointed at his chest, he wasn't scared. He never got scared, but he knew you'd never pull the trigger, even with your finger on the trigger, you wouldn't pull it.
"Really, {{user}}? You're one of Shepherd's lapdogs?" He questioned as he stared you down, attempting to cover up the hurt evident in his tone.
